Some of you will start reading this post and think 'yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before.'  but I encourage you to really read through what I have to say. Maybe I am just another person telling you about the perils of technology, but I learned a lot today, and even had a couple "ah-ha!" moments, and I really think a lot of people could benefit from this too.
As much as I hate to admit it, I am on my phone way too much. To the point that if I leave a room without my phone, I nearly feel like I am missing an appendage. I know I am not alone, in fact, I am willing to bet that the majority of the population under 30 feels the same way. I truly believe that our cell phones have become an addiction to some of us. So often I find myself in the middle of doing something, and then because I get a message notification on my phone, I open it up and then get sucked in to checking all of my other apps and social media accounts while I'm at it. DIY Monster Spray

After spending the day fighting off monsters, I promised my toddler that I would spray her bedroom with Monster Repellent Spray. I'm sure you could find some in the store if you looked hard enough (maybe the pest control isle, but most likely the kids/toddler section), but being the crafting, essential oil loving mom that I am, I opted to make my own Monster Spray.

Empty Spray Bottle Card Stock Googly Eyes Alphabet Stickers Hot Glue Gun  Lavender Essential Oil Water

Glue the cardstock onto the bottle.
Add Alphabet Stickers on the front to spell out 'Monster Spray' or 'Monster Repellent' (Or whatever it is you want to call your spray)
Add googly eyes & get creative!
Fill the bottle with water, and add a couple drops of Lavender…

I have a hard time spending money on home décor. My husband might disagree with this statement (care to weigh in, babe?), but when I'm standing in a store looking at decorations or small things for the home, unless it is a steal of a deal, my first thought is often 'I bet I can make that'.  I love dollar stores, thrift stores, and online buy and sells. I didn't realize how much I love these thrifty ways of decorating my house, until I started itemizing all of the things that I have refurbished, made on my own, or bought at a thrift shop or dollar store. The list is actually pretty long, relative to everything we have in our house.

Our kitchen has pretty much been 100% decorated in dollar store décor. We have a couple chalkboards, a cork board, a clock, and some small galvanized buckets that hang on the wall for growing our fresh herbs. We also have a tension rod above our sink to hang the garlic and bananas out of the way. The wooden box hanging next to the sink, was…
